چکیده

Global warming makes it possible for vessels to sail through the Northern Sea Route, and emergency rescue response to sudden and dangerous events at the Arctic Ocean has caused extensive concern. This paper analyzes the current situation of the Arctic marine rescue and uses complex network theory to describe the characteristics of Arctic marine rescue and emergency response networked system. A weighted complex network model is established and the empirical study is carried out. Through the calculation, the varying rescue response intensities of different countries were obtained. The cooperation of involved countries is needed to ensure the safety of navigation in the Arctic routes.

An Analysis Method on Post-earthquake Traversability of Road Network Considering Building Collapse

This study aims at quantifying the influence on the traversability of road network of road network caused by building collapse in earthquake. To this end, an analysis method on post-earthquake traversability of road network considering building collapse is proposed. First, the time-history analysis of seismic response based on the multi-degree of freedom (MDOF) model is performed for regional b...

Efficacy of rescue blanket versus conventional blanket in terms of preventing accidental hypothermia during patient transfer by emergency medical service: a randomized clinical trial

Objective: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of rescue blankets with conventional blankets in terms of preventing hypothermia in the pre-hospital setting. Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, patients older than 18 years old with Cold Discomfort Scale (CDS) > 2, and those who were transferred to the emergency department (ED) by emergency medical service entered the study. Patients...

Goal programming-based post-disaster decision making for allocation and scheduling the rescue units in natural disaster with time-window

Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and hurricanes cause enormous harm during each year. To reduce casualties and economic losses in the response phase, rescue units must be allocated and scheduled efficiently, such that it is a key issues in emergency response. In this paper, a multi-objective mix integer nonlinear programming model (MOMINLP) is proposed to minimize sum of weight...
